This program prepares and teaches students direct patient care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed Nurse. A nurse assistant provides basic nursing care to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene and protection of residents in skilled nursing facilities or intermediate health care facilities

Program Description:
This program prepares and teaches Nurse Assistants or C.N.A.'s to provide routine, personal healthcare such as bathing, dressing or grooming to elderly, convalescent, or disabled people in the home of patients or in a residential care facility.
Prerequisites:
Have a current and active California C.N.A. state certification. Be at least 16 years of age.
